UK Nursing and Midwifery Council Registration
- Just like the NCK regulates licensed nurses to practice in Kenya, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is mandated with registering and approving all nurses and midwives practicing within the UK. Therefore, due to the fragility of the nursing profession, you need to be licensed to practice.
- The following are the requirements for NMC account creation:
- Valid passport

- NCK certificate
- Birth certificate
- Westwick College of Health Sciencee will pay for your NMC application and register you on any of the following UK NMC registers:
- Registered Nurse-Adult
- Registered Nurse-Mental Health
- Registered Midwife
- NMC will email your registration request to NCK’s email once we pay your NMC Application fee.
- Once NCK confirms reception of the link, we shall pay for your verification.
- Duration: NCK takes approximately 2 weeks to verify your documents.
NCK Document Verification
- Valid practicing license
- NCK certificate
- Training Institution Certificate
- ID

NMC Invitation Letter
- After a successful NCK Verification, you are emailed an invitation to Competence Test Letter requesting you to proceed to CBT exam and OSCEs (normally done in the UK).
- We will request you this email while arranging your interview, please print it.
Authorization to Test (ATT)
- Following NCK’s response to the NMC links, you will be issued an NMC CBT Authorization To Test (ATT). This will automatically connect you to the testing company called Pearson Vue.
- NMC’s authorization to Test (ATT) allows you to sit NMC competence tests. These competency tests ensure you have the required knowledge and skills to safely practice within the UK.
- The test of competence consists of two parts:
- A multiple-choice computer-based theoretical test known as the CBT
- A practical test is known as the OSCE
Note: You must pass both parts of the test for you to complete your registration application.
NMC CBT Training and Exam Booking
- We will prepare you for NMC/CBT exams.
- Once you are done with your training and we are satisfied with your readiness, we shall help you book the NMC CBT exam for you at a fee paid to your Pearson Vue account. Your employer will refund you the amount once you are in the UK.
- NMC CBT Exam results are released 30 minutes after you finish after which you will get results for parts A and B and we will request you to scan.

- Most people dread interviews and have every right to do so since you never know the catch of your recruiter.
- With the help of our recruiter, we will ensure you are fully prepared for each interview in the UK by helping you understand the requirements of the role you applied for and its suitability in the wider service.
- After passing your interview, you will receive an offer letter from your employer via email. You will be required to sign it and send it back to signify acceptance.
- The employer will require you to submit other documents and we will be there to guide you through the entire process to ensure you submit correct documents promptly.
- We will help you book your UKVI TB test. You need to do a TB test at the IOM Centre in Gigiri, Nairobi for a fee that will be refunded by your employer once you are in the UK.
